Afraid of prints

Today i have noticed that i'm afraid of prints and patterns in my home. The only patterns i have are 2 small pillows. A black and white striped one and one grey ribbon plaided.

Its really sad because a really love patterns and prints! These two pictures are just gorgeous.

I guess it's because i think i will get bored of them ones i have them in my home.

But now i'm thinking... Doesn't MY HOME gets bored by not having them?

What do you think?

Any suggestions for mixing and matching prints in a home?

Good morning! I slept so enormously deep last night. It's always such a joy to wakeup and seeing its a great and sunny sunday. I made some breakfast for co and myself. And while i'm posting this mail, he's taking a little nap on the sofa. Sooo sweet!

For some reason i'm attracted to these pictures. And it's so funny because all walls in it are white! Not my usual cup of tea, but it's so calming...

Zoooo! (like in; that's it, i did it!)

I have finished some stupid shores like finishing the paint in the bedroom and give my brown chocolate walls in my livingroom a last paintjob.

Now it looks fresh and clean and that gives me a very happy feeling! It's almost like i'm relieved.

Let's say, i decided to change my routines and to do everything at ones. Not postpone it till another day. (or month)

Becauces eventually you end up with a awkward feeling in your tummy because of the piled up stuff you have to do? Do you know that feeling?

I'm feeling a little bit sad this weekend because co isn't here with me and i had to work for my job, because monday there will be some inspectors at school.

So i could't paint my bedroom....

But as you can see, i never sit still. I found those pictures at 'myhomeideas' and they are so similar with the ideas a had in my head for the bedroom....

Its in my hands!

I bought the paint for my bedroom! Only i choose another color because the absinthe and lichen were very different when i saw them in real light. There was too much green in it... (i first watched the colors on my pc) So the exact color is now; Orage from Flamant. Its like on the picture above.. blue with a little green..Nice! I want to start next saterday with the first two walls.. Wish me luck.

Muted colors

Okay, i know i'm so incredible indecisive. But finally my boyfriend and i found a color for the bedroom. Don't you love these muted colors? Specially the mix of the mint-green, the grey and the dark-red with wood in the left picture. And as you can see, the cooker is black so, it may sound stupid but now i know that my sleepingbed will blend in just fine.. So i'm gonna paint my walls mint-green. (Absinthe or lichen from Flamant) I leave the bed black, my wooden floor is almost the same color as in the picture so thats okay and then i have to use some accessories to add grey and drak-red. My boyfriend is into surfing so we are gonna place an old surfingboard in the corner of the bedroom and hang a white musquito for a more coastal feeling. If i'm ready i will show you the results!

When i began to decorate my apartment i wanted a cool apartment with an artistic touch and this is exactly what i mean... I like the dark wallcolors, the lighting, the separated styled corners and the strange objects all around. The mix between modern and wood furniture really works well.

And have you seen the paintings of Anne Faith Nicholls? She's really a great artist!
